Malin Head is the most northerly part of Ireland. From here to the northeast is the Hebrides of Scotland and directly north is Iceland. Even when we were there on July 3, 2005 I was wearing a heavy sweater and a windbreaker. The wind was so strong you could watch in the skies as the showers would go by and then the sun would appear and then again in 15 minutes it would rain. The winds were probably at about 40 mph. This is the North Atlantic one of the coldest oceans in the world. |
